That doesn’t mean we give up on night markets entirely. It just means we dig a little deeper to find the ones locals really love. Tonight we’re at Bandar Baru Sentul Night Market, a Friday-only market tucked inside an apartment complex north of Kuala Lumpur city center. It's open from 5 to 9 p.m. and it’s all takeaway, no tables, no tour groups. Just neighbors strolling over, grabbing dinner, and heading home. It's only 15 minutes from the city’s skyscrapers, but the vibe is pure neighborhood warmth. Vendors greet you with easy smiles, and the food is made for eating, not Instagram. I'd say try a bit of everything - especially the coconuty traditional desserts and apam balik peanut pancakes. Even if something isn’t quite your taste, you’ll know you paid local prices and tasted real KL life. And as a little bonus, you might even meet some of the fluffy resident cats roaming around the complex. Because this isn’t a tourist market, some vendors may curiously ask where you’re from. Just bring a smile, an open mind, and a few Malay phrases, and you’ll fit right in. Walk with me and see what Kuala Lumpur really eats on a Friday night. If you enjoy local markets, tap Subscribe and we’ll keep exploring hidden corners of Asia together. Thanks for joining me today & Happy Walking. 🌙 #KualaLumpur #NightMarket #LocalMarket #FoodTour #StreetFood #SouthEastAsia #Malaysia #WalkingTour
