Tonight we’re at Bandar Baru Sentul Night Market, a Friday-only market tucked inside an apartment complex north of Kuala Lumpur city center. It's open from 5 to 9 p.m. and it’s all takeaway, no tables, no tour groups. Just neighbors strolling over, grabbing dinner, and heading home. It's only 15 minutes from the city’s skyscrapers, but the vibe is pure neighborhood warmth. Vendors greet you with easy smiles, and the food is made for eating, not Instagram. I'd say try a bit of everything - especially the coconuty traditional desserts and apam balik peanut pancakes.
