Lets do a dedication ritual to Nyx together. I wrote this one, so please feel free to share it or use it yourself. I think heady and floral when I think Nyx, so I used Storax and Sage, use what you have on hand. To burn the incense you will need a heat safe dish and a charcoal disk. South: I call to the celestial fires of the stars. Fire be with me tonight! West: I call to the ocean waters of the West. To the tides that ebb and flow. Be with me tonight. North: I call to the Earth in the North. Floating ball of life. Be with me tonight. Nyx: Great Mother Goddess Nyx, Mighty one. I call to you across the inky abyss. Mother of Night, Mother of Death and Sleep, I am yours and you are mine. Be with me now. Light Black Candle Make Incense, light charcoal in fire safe dish. Burn and bless yourself with smoke. "I come before you Mighty Queen of Night. I bless my body and soul, so that I am cleansed to present my best self to you." Keep incense to use anytime. Make Symbol of Nyx Paper, pen. Draw a Crescent Moon and stars. I like three stars, two for Hypnos and Thanatos and one for Hemera. Hold your hand over your drawing and say: Nyx, I bless this symbol as my dedication to you. Great Mother, mighty one who Zeus feared, I love you. Thank you for loving me. May I kiss with your lips and walk forever in your ways. May this symbol ever remind me of my dedication to you. Water Jar, Water, Salt. Sprinkle salt into water. Little jar full of water, may you transform this night. Bring me magic, bring me peace, bless me with Nyx's might. Place jar outside or on windowsill overnight. Use in shower, bath or in shellwork etc. I didn't do this, but I think it would be a good idea to pull a tarot or oracle card at the end to get a message from Nyx. Happy star worshipping! Tasha
