In the bustling markets of Accra, the capital of Ghana, thousands of young girls work as 'Kayayei Girls', human porters who carry heavy loads on their heads for just a few coins. Many come from poor rural villages in northern Ghana, hoping to support their families or save enough to return to school. Instead, they often find themselves sleeping on streets, and having to face all the dangers that come with that. This documentary follows their journeys, revealing why these girls leave home, how they survive in the chaotic markets, and what their daily struggles are like. EWTN's Colm Flynn visits Accra to meet the Kayayei girls, and also the Jesuit priest, Fr. Atuguba Maxwell, who has started the Dream Centre in an effort to give the girls a life of hope and dignity.
