In this presentation, Jack Johnston will talk about how 2nd St. has changed over the past 100+ years from a Produce Center to an Entertainment Center. The area which is now the Carson Center was once a thriving produce and business center of Paducah. Jack will take us to the days of the Market House and the blocks from Kentucky to Washington when it was the heart of the produce and rail businesses. Jack Johnston was born and raised in Paducah and he, along with his brother Bob, were part of the Johnston Brokerage at the Freight House for decades. Jack collects Paducah memorabilia and is very knowledgeable about the history of Paducah.
