If you're moving to Portugal from the United States, we hope our observations can help you adjust to your new home faster than we did (though the adjustment was more good than bad, we promise). Some differences between life in the United States and life in Portugal are great. For example, it's so nice going to a grocery store that is located in a mall – it allows us to get all of our errands done in one spot. None of the observations made are intended as criticisms. Just things we've noticed. After all, it'd be weird to go to another country and expect everything to be done like we're used to them being done in the United States.
