He informs Polarity that it has always been Godolkin in his thoughts and pleads for his life just before he kills him. In actuality, Dean Cipher was Doug Brightbill, a man whose body Thomas Godolkin had taken over and who was in charge of everything. We learn in Gen V Season 2 Episode 7 that Cipher, Thomas Godolkin, has been in charge of everything from behind the scenes. Having been healed by Marie, he went out and began murdering Supes, whom he believed to be weak. The Gen V Season 2 finale is the next episode in line, and given how much remains to be revealed—particularly how Marie and the others prevent Godolkin from committing genocide—we can definitely anticipate an incredible conclusion.
