Good Luck Buying a GPU - They Don’t Exist Okay, look, it has been a number of months since the RTX 50 series has released. Now we've had AMD launch their RX 9000 series GPUs, which were supposed to save the day(...) when it came to availability and pricing. And then we also have Intel with the V580, but can you get any of them at MSRP? Well let's go ahead and do a quick check, shall we? Let's start off with the RTX 5090. I mean, that's a car that everybody wants. Can you get it? Ooh, you can't. $5,000 pre-built. That's the only thing that I'm seeing over on Newegg. But I mean, come on, it's the 5090. That thing is in crazy demand. Surely, the 5080. I mean, come on. Who's buying the 5080 over MSRP? Well let's look it up over on Newegg once again. And oh baby, $3,000 pre-built. That's all I'm seeing. Good God. Okay. Okay. But maybe, just maybe, this is just over on Newegg. So let's check Amazon fellas, shall we? Ooh, the answer is not really. Yes, they do exist. Okay, to be fair, they exist. $1,500, $1,800. Who is gonna be buying this graphs card? This is supposed to be $1,000, not $1,800. Okay, let's check out the 5070 check. Yeah, once again, $3,000, $2,000 something pre-built. How about the 5070? Come on. Surely the 5070's gotta be in stock.(...) I'm seeing pre-built, pre-built, pre-built. And that's it. Nothing. All out of stock. A single Nvidia RTX 50 series card is available at all. And it again has been months since the release of these cards. There's no cryptocurrency mining going on. I don't know. I'm not seeing anything like crazy AI wise for GeForce cards. That doesn't make any sense either. So there's no mining happening. Why are these not in stock? We'll talk about that, but let's take a look at AMD. So AMD is supposed to save the day. Have they done so? Check the 9070 XT. Is it in stock? No. Pre-built, pre-built, pre-built, pre-built, pre-built. And all the GPUs are out of stock. Okay, what about the 9070? People are saying, "That's a bad deal. You shouldn't buy the 9070. The 9070 XT is such a better deal." Well, have they stuck to their words? Well, I mean, maybe yes. Maybe there's just no stock, but there certainly isn't any available. So somebody bought these things and they're even out of stock at like $800. But that's the thing I want to talk about, guys.
