Each year hikers from all over the world come to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. In the middle of August a festival called “Pct hiker days” is held in Cascade locks Oregon. The hikers pause their through hikes and travel to the festival to reunite with the many friends they’ve made on the trail. They camp in their tents on thunder Island and participate in two days of celebration.  Many of the companies who provide hiking equipment display their newest offerings. Some will also repair gear which has become damaged along the rugged trail. There are also raffles and giveaways for the hikers to participate in, sponsored by the gear companies.  Live music and camaraderie make this time very special. It is an event not to be missed.
