The Court of Appeal delivers judgment in the case of Salih Khater, who was jailed for life with a 15-year minimum term for driving his Ford Fiesta at cyclists and police officers outside the Houses of Parliament in a terrorist-inspired attack. The Attorney General had referred the case to the court as a potentially unduly lenient sentence and had asked for a whole life tariff to be imposed. But Lord Justice Holroyde, who heard the case with Mr Justice Cavanagh and Judge Martin Picton at the Royal Courts of Justice in central London, declined to interfere with the sentence.
