Over the years I've spent doing BJD faceups, I found that instead of being too uptight or perfectionist about every step along the way, a more comfortable and free way to enjoy the creation process is knowing how to undo or fix mistakes as I go, rather than avoid them as much as I can. I figured out these tips on undo mistakes along my journey, and because I use them in almost all my faceups, I thought it might be helpful to share them with you guys :) I do want to make a disclaimer here that this video might be a bit chaotic and not super smooth as a "tutorial". I originally recorded the audio meaning for it to be more like a "how-to" type of video, but then I realise footage of what I referred to would be hard to record, because I hate doing faceups when I'm being observed as it messes up what I'm doing on the doll. As such, the video footage seem to run on a separate line of thought than the audio, which can make this hard to watch in 1 sitting. I considered not making this video at all, or doing it as audio only, but I still think the footage is useful for people like me who like to observe and learn by example, so I left it in. In the end, I figured a bad video is better than no video at all, so this is kind of a chaotic log, more than a polished how-to video. Still, I hope it is useful. If you find it too chaotic, I suggest listening to the audio only on your first sitting, then watching it with the video and see if any of what I do in the footage answers any questions you may have about what I've said.
