We bought him as a 3-year-old and rest-assured his disposition will be hard to part with. We have done a little bit of everything on him and he has seen everything on our TX and MT ranches. He has always been our go-to if a family member or businessman wants to come play cowboy for the day — he is a true babysitter, riding like a saint and forgiving any mistakes.Southbound has a funny, charming and inquisitive personality and will keep a smile on your face. He knows a few tricks too and will kneel and curbside to mount.  Southbound is naturally low headed, lopes beautiful circles on a draped rein and guides right where you point him. Southbound reads cattle exceptionally well and would make a fun horse to go show in the cow horse and versatility events. We have used him in all aspects of ranch tasks; you can rope, drag, and tie on solid.  Open every gate, drop a rein and ground tie all day, sort pairs, gather cattle, and just enjoy the ride. He is making a neat switch-end rope horse with a lot of style and finesse across the pen and is eligible for the Royal Crown and Riata Stallion Incentive. He’s confident alone or will lead or follow a group and has confidence in the city around the bright lights and around blowing tarps, crazy dogs and gunfire. He will calmly cruise down busy highways with traffic and bicycles. He has a big, soft round eye and standing 15 hands with very correct and balanced conformation. Southbound will come running when he sees you and follow you around like a puppy dog.
