A Black 5 joins the fleet

Just before Christmas EC ran a day long special on their last remaining Black 5's and with nearly 100 pounds off, it was impossible to say no! So here is yet another unboxing video of an EC Black 5, and I wont be saying I regret the purchase ( Ok, a B1 might have given it a run for its money! ) Despite my dyslexic rendition of her numbers, She will be renumbered to Farnley Jct's 45341 - one of the very few Leeds based Armstrong built Black 5's during the early 50's. I have yet to find any record of her on Leed's Northern Rails, but shedmate 45075 was photographed at least twice near Ripon c 1954, so its possible she did on occasion, once Farnley took over the 4.50pm Leeds city - Northallerton via Wetherby, returning at 8.42 via Arthington At this stage I haven't connected engine and tender, and given how difficult the process is, I'll probably leave that until renumbering and weathering has been done
