To avoid being fined, arrested or caned (yes, this is a thing in Singapore) read the below list that contains the most common things that you are not allowed to do here: 1. Don't litter ($300 fine) 2. Don't sell gum ($100000 fine. No joke here, 6 figures) 3. Don't spit (if you need to, please do it in a napkin or else up to $1000 fine) 4. Don't feed the birds ($500 fine) 5. Don't play an instrument in public if you are not an expert (up to 3 months in prison) 6. Don't sing a song that has "naughty" words (up to 3 months in prison) 7. Don't get naked, not even in your own house (if you do, be sure nobody sees you or else there is a huge fine coming your way) 8. Don't connect to someone else's WI-FI ($10000 fine or up to 3 years prison) 9. Flush the toilet after you use it ($150 fine otherwise) 10. Smoking is illegal almost everywhere, and alcohol drinking is illegal after 10:30 PM until 7 AM.
