I fell down the rabbit hole in 2021 during quarantines and lock-downs. As a lefty, my main concern was ink smudging and that fountain pen nibs are only for right-handed people. But I've since come to love everything about fountain pens. As a lefty, it's tricky using some pens but I also appreciate manufacturers creating left-handed nibs. I've also learned about nibsmiths / nibmeisters who can customize the grind of your fountain pen and make it work for you a little better. Q: Do you still use ballpoint pens? A: Definitely! As much as I love fountain pens, ballpoint pens are still very practical to carry around. I still use ballpoint pens to sign documents and application forms, especially if the papers used for those forms are not fountain pen friendly Q: Tips for first time journalers / planners? A: Be easy on yourself. Journaling for me is a therapeutic hobby and I don't want to stress myself just to write something everyday. Write depending on your mood.
