After yesterday's extreme rainfall in Sydney, there are now concerns over damaging wind gusts. There is a major flood warning for the Hawkesbury and Nepean Valley with the river system peaking even higher than last year. The east coast low that caused the record breaking rain is moving off shore. However, a severe wind warning stretches from the Mid-North Coast through Sydney to the south coast. Wind gusts could reach more than 90km/h increasing fears that sodden soil will lead to more trees being blown over.
