The attacker opened fire at the entrance and then detonated explosives, killing a large number of worshippers attending the prayer. Casualties At least 31 people were killed and around 169–170 injured in the blast. Injured victims were rushed to hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with many in critical condition. Security Response Rawalpindi police raised high alert across the city, especially at mosques, imambargahs, and other public sites, increasing patrols and security checks. Hospitals in Rawalpindi were placed on emergency standby with surgical and specialist teams ready.
