Live From NAB 2025: New Grass Valley CEO Jon Wilson on What's New at NAB and His Vision for Future

SVG's Jason Dachman interviews newly appointed Grass Valley CEO Jon Wilson at the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Wilson officially takes on the role following an 18-month transition with former CEO Louis Hernandez, who is now Executive Chairman. Wilson says Grass Valley will double down on customer success and innovation and continues to build around the Grass Valley Media Universe. This includes a major focus on its AMPP cloud-based platform, while maintaining legacy product lines like cameras and switchers. At NAB, Grass Valley has announced the new LDX180 camera, part of the LDX100 range, featuring filmic super slow-motion capabilities. Targeted at high-end sports production, it's expected to ship in fall 2025. In addition, the new VXP switcher has been introduced to provide a a mid-tier switcher designed for smaller OB trucks and mid-market use. It also fits into the K-frame ecosystem, maintaining compatibility across Grass Valley products.
