Movie Breakdown | The Hidden Cuts of: 1917

SPOILERS ARE IN THIS VIDEO! Hey everyone, here is the latest entry into the Hidden Cuts series. I recently watched 1917 and was absolutely blown away by one Sam Mendes & Roger Deakins were able to achieve. I have no doubt that this film will take home the best achievement in cinematography award as well as even the best picture. Anyways, if you've seen any of my other Hidden Cuts videos, you will no that I'm not trying to debunk all of the hard work that was put in, but merely just doing this for educational purposes and I really just find it interesting. There were a few cuts however, that I decided to not included and those were all really ones that used explosions to hide the cut, as I felt that was a natural thing to do. A lot of the other cuts, I had to watch very carefully for things such as: makeup changes, prop movement, blocking and also putting into account the technical limitations that they may have had.
