After moving away to start a new life, an emotionally damaged young woman begins to suspect that an abusive ex-boyfriend has begun stalking her. Is this just her mind playing tricks on her? Or is something far more sinister going on? GENRE: Horror/Thriller DIRECTED BY JACK BERRY STARRING GWYNETH EVANS 'FOREVER’ is a zero-budget psychological Horror short film that was shot entirely on a Huawei P30 smartphone. This was a unique challenge for me as I’ve been working freelance as a Cinematographer for the past year, working with high-end camera equipment, so to go back to basics and shoot on a phone was equally thrilling as it was somewhat frightening to me. One of the first steps we used to ensure that we could get the best possible visuals, was to download the app ‘FILMIC PRO’. This allows you to manually change things like aperture, focus, and frame rate, and give you much more freedom than the standard camera function on most phones. We then edited, color graded, and sound-mixed the footage to the highest possible standard using Adobe Creative Cloud Software, which I feel had a hand in elevating the short to feel more professional.
