Bengaluru Doctor Murder Case: How Mahendra Reddy Meticulously Planned, Killed Wife With Anesthesia Six months after 28-year-old dermatologist Kruthika Reddy's sudden death was written off as natural police said her husband Mahendra Reddy, had meticulously planned her killing. Mahendra was arrested on October 14 for allegedly murdering his wife. He administered a fatal dose of anesthesia under the guise of treatment. Mahendra used his professional expertise and intimate knowledge of his wife's medical history to plan the act 'with clinical precision'. Mahendra first administered IV medication to Kruthika at their residence for gastric discomfort. Later that night he returned to give another IV dose. When Kruthika complained of pain, Mahendra allegedly advised her not to remove it. Around 9.30 pm, he went to her room and gave the injection. The next morning Kruthika was found unresponsive, Mahendra allegedly did not attempt CPR.
