A Visit To Cape Wrath - Without Doing The Trail! Via Road, Ferry & Bus

This time we were on an adventure to the elusive Cape Wrath. A very difficult place to reach and a real wilderness spot. Cape Wrath is famous for being the most North Westerly point on the British mainland and features an impressive lighthouse. It is notoriously difficult to reach Cape Wrath as there are no public roads. One option is a very like hike along the famous Cape Wrath Trail. The other option is catching a small passenger ferry and than taking a minibus along an eleven mile stretch of rough single tracked road. We've tried on several occasions to visit Cape Wrath but the ferry only runs during the late spring and summer. So usually when we are up in Scotland we are out of season and out of luck. This time though we just made it to the North of Scotland in time for the last day of the season, so come along with us as we take a trip to the spectacular lighthouse and cliffs of Cape Wrath.
