Get ready to party like it’s 1995 with Sydney duo Sunset Bros’ banging new single ‘You Belong To Me’. Throwing it back to the early rave sounds but with a 2023 twist, Sunset Bros have taken on the JX classic of the same name, but added their unmistakable hard-hitting Sunset Bros sound that their fans know and love. This track has been a fan favourite with the guys dropping it in their recent sold out shows and at Festival X last year. “Having older siblings growing up meant that we’d have access to all the cool new songs,” explains Adriano from Sunset Bros. “My brother came home one day blasting it on his discman. We used to sneak into his room and steal it from him just so we could listen to it! There’s a feeling of strength and power that the track emits the minute you hear that iconic melody. It just makes you want to move. We hope we’ve done it justice.” The song comes with an equally high energy video, following a first-person view of a raucous night out in Sydney’s Kings Cross. “Inspired by the iconic Prodigy track ‘Smack My B*tch Up’, the film clip tells a story of a young man’s wild night out after being fed up with his working week. The style of video complements the fast paced feel of the track while paying homage to the ‘90s dance era.” The video stars Sydney-based drag and burlesque performers The Dollz. “I met the Sunset Bros at a club,” explains Mitchell from The Dollz. “I was ordering a drink in line and Adriano looked down and my long nails and gave me a compliment - we started talking and became friends. When the Sunset Bros came out with this song they knew instantly they wanted The Dollz in the music video. Both of us have worked in both of the venues that were featured in the music video as well so it was very organic and made sense for us to be featured.” “It was so much fun filming!” adds Jackel from The Dollz. “We created a circle around us in the nightclub as we were all dancing with everyone filming and recognising the Sunset Bros. We've always been fans of their music, so seeing ourselves in the video is a full circle moment.
