The prestigious Cinemateca Portuguesa recently hosted on January 23rd 2025 an evening celebrating the intersection of cinema and visual arts. The book launch of Alba Nera took place at Livraria Linha de Sombra and was presented by the director of Batalha Monastery, Dr. Joaquim Ruivo. It was followed by a session in room Luís de Pina, which was inaugurated by deputy director Nuno Sena, with screenings of Gianmarco Donaggio’s notable films. These were The Lisbon Trilogy, as well as Azul no Azul and Alba Nera, both inspired by the paintings of Nelson Ferreira. The evening also featured a pop-up exhibition of the painter’s works.
