🎬 Discover the Magic of Filmmaking with Silverbox Kids This Summer! 🎬 Hey there! This summer, Silverbox Kids teamed up with schools across Brighton and Hove to give year 6 students a taste of Hollywood magic. Our awesome project showed these young creatives how real films are written, filmed, and edited. In groups of 7-9 friends, they got to write their own screenplays, make storyboards, and plan out costumes, props, and sets in 3 planning sessions (3 hours each). Then each group had 1 filming/editing session (4 hours) to complete their film aided by our amazing Silverbox Kids instructors who are professional filmmakers that love sharing their passion and experience with the next generation of storytellers. The final films will be premiered in front of their friends, family, and teachers—an unforgettable moment for everyone! 🌟 Skills we learnt: Creative Writing and Screenwriting: The kids wrote their very own screenplays. Project Planning: They got hands-on with storyboarding and planning all the details. Tech Fun: Learning how to use film equipment and edit their movies. Performance Skills: Boosting their acting and presenting chops. Teamwork: Working together to bring their stories to life. Creativity: Letting their imaginations run wild!
