I'm sorry that A-Z pun sounded better in my head. Anyway you're not here for the diabolical jokes, you wanna know about Season 3 and we now have it confirmed that the third entry will begin filming in February 2021. The listing for the dates was posted on the industry website IATSE 83 and Claudia Doumit later revealed to Gamesradar that everything had been locked in and that that date was set in stone. Gamesradar dug deep on the info and through a wayback machine they scanned the website and found that in October the schedule changed from Early 2021 to February 2021 to August 2021, suggesting that the creative team have been planning this for quite some time now. The third season was actually confirmed before the release of the second so it's clear that Amazon knew they had a hit on their hands and wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. Now using this information we can predict the release date of the upcoming show if we look back at the past entries. Gamesradar put together a big breakdown of this which I'll link in the description below but looking back over the last couple of years a pattern emerges which helps to give us an estimate of when we will finally get some brand new episodes. Now Season 1 was filmed from May 2018 up until October of the same year and the season then dropped on Amazon in July 2019. The second season filmed from July 2019 up until November 2019 and the second entry dropped in September 2020. So it took five months to film the first season and four to film the second. Season one was released nine months after filming with Season Two arriving after ten. If the production of Season 3 is six months then that means it's probably gonna be either ten or eleven months after it wraps up so we can expect to see The Boys either in June or July of 2022. It sucks there's gonna be such a big gap between them and had the pandemic not happened we would have likely seen the show this time next year. Hopefully they put A-Train in the editing room or something. However, the trailers for the show tends to drop within six weeks of things finishing up so we will most likely get our first look at things around about this time next year. Now as for the first episode we do know that it is going to be called Payback and Kripke confirmed this on twitter recently by posting a picture of the first page of the script. Now there is a lot that we can take from this and if you're a fan of the comics then you will instantly recognise the name. In the comics Payback are an Avengers Esque parody that end up becoming some of the storyline's big baddies at one point. Led by Stormfront they attempt to attack the Boys but after Butcher goes all Rambo on them they're quickly defeated. This leads to their leader fleeing the scene and the arc culminates with the boys kicking the crap out of...and well back into Stormfront. Now this moment has already been heavily covered in the show and I do think that the series will divert quite a bit from it as it's kinda done things out of order. I can actually see Payback re-assembling and then going after the boys to get well...Payback.
