Brits react to eating shark in Australia for the first time. 🇦🇺 In this video, we’re a British couple living in Australia and we’re trying flake (shark) — one of Australia’s most controversial and misunderstood foods — to see what it really tastes like. We visit Penny Seafood on the Sunshine Coast, a popular Australian seafood spot, where we order shark and chips (flake) and give our honest British reaction. Flake is commonly eaten in Australia, but many people don’t realise it’s actually shark, so we wanted to experience it ourselves and share what we thought as Brits trying it for the first time. While we’re there, we also try mahi mahi for the first time and are surprised with fresh local prawns, prepared the Australian way. The owner even shows us just how fresh the seafood is, including a full mahi mahi, and teaches us how to shuck an oyster using a Kevlar glove — something we never expected to do during a seafood lunch.
