How do you get a PhD? Why would you? What do you do with one?

How do you get a PhD in Computer Science, or in other scientific and technological subjects for that matter? Every year I run a mini-seminar with my undergraduates at Trinity College who want to understand a little better what the PhD is about, how you get one and whether it is a good idea, which of course depends on your career goals. This year we can't meet in my room, so I have recorded this video instead.
