One performance. Four film formats. Shot simultaneously on Kodak Motion Picture Film. CUT is an experimental dance film created by filmmaker Jesper Tønnes and produced by Rebel Pictures, exploring how different film formats shape the emotional language of cinema. Flamenco dancer Selene Muñoz performs a single choreography captured at the exact same moment on four Kodak motion picture formats: Super 8, Super 16, 35mm and 65mm. In this special side-by-side edition, the four formats are presented simultaneously, allowing viewers to experience how each format interprets the same performance through its own visual character. Created in collaboration with Kodak, ARRI Rental & Rebel Pictures the project set out to explore how the physical qualities of film - gauge, texture and scale - influence movement, rhythm and emotional perception.
