0:00 - 4s Angle, Horizon, Airmode, letting rip. 3:30 - Talking about my quick mods and how to add a buzzer Although the stock 2.9.0 firmware that came on this quad flew fantastic out of the box, this version of Betaflight does not allow super expo to be removed from just one channel, it's applied globally. This makes the yaw extremely slow compared to how I personally like it and on top of that it adds LOADS of expo so the yaw movements for aggressive acro are massive compared to the tiny throttle and tiny cyclic movements. I can fly like this but I do not enjoy such inconsistencies so I flashed to BF3 as I was informed it allowed removal of super expo on yaw only. This did indeed work a treat for perking up the yaw but there is some feature or issue or lack of tuning by me that makes yaw not spin flat when RC rate is above 1.0, even at 1.01 it does it and higher RC rate on yaw makes it progressively sloppy, above 2.0 is just funny bad like it's drunk. The problem is with super rates removed, the yaw is a very pedestrian, Sunday driver, 196 degrees per second and useless for anything but super mild FPV with gentle turns so RC rate must be raised above 1.0 to get this where I personally dig it, around 600 - 800 degrees per second with no or very little expo at all. It's a small price to pay for such and incredible flying quad in stock PIDs and other things such as funnels are super locked in and it tracks across the sky flawlessly. I was not able to push looptime above 2k and 1k on BF3 though where it would happily run 4k, 2k on v2.9.0 as BF3 is very hungry on resources and cpu just too loaded. Interestingly an SPF3 board would still run 4k V2.9.0 and 2.9.1 with super expo removed from all channels does not have this problem and yaws perfectly flat and stable at 800 degrees per second so if this is an issue for you, I suggest not upgrading to BF3 and simply don't used super expo for a flawless flying craft. I'm told the new setpoint sliders may make a difference so it's time to experiment with BF3 and see what happens with the new plethora of variables that have been introduced. Wizard X220 playlist • Eachine Wizard X220 I just used a super cheapy 5v piezo but here's a bunch of choices from the same style to ultra loud ones and even ones mounted to an addressable LED light bar. Yoink, i'll have one of those myself http://www.banggood.com/search/buzzer... Loud Lantian buzzer The one I fitted is bog standard cheapy but the loudest I have heard yet is the Lantian buzzer. They are just expensive and you get 1 instead of 5 or 10 of the others. http://www.banggood.com/LANTIAN-NAZE3... FyreSG's video on updating the ESC firmware. He said it felt the same in flight so I didn't feel the need but worth a watch if you weren't aware that you could update ESC firmware via the same USB cable you connect to BF with. Yup, no need to unplug, unwrap or desolder anything, just open blheli suite which is free and flash. • Eachine Wizard X220 RTF Review - Part 2/2 Edit - I have updated my ESC now with auto settings in bl;heli and it worked perfectly. I wanted latest 3D support. See latest Wizard video..
