Prince Charles and Camilla tied the knot at Windsor Guildhall in 2005, and 14 years later they look happier than ever Prince Charles and Camilla are spending their 14th wedding anniversary at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland. The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall in 2005, attended by all the senior royals including the Queen, Princes William and Harry and Prince Philip. Following the service they went to St George's Chapel, where Prince Harry married Meghan Markle last year, for an official marriage blessing from the Archbishop of Canterbury. 14 years later and the pair seemed happier than ever as they made an official visit to the castle, which is near Belfast. They were treated to a tour of the site, which has just undergone a £24 million refurbishment. Charles described the castle as a "special place" and said he hoped people from all over the country would go and visit. The five-year transformation was done by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces and the Prince's Trust charity was also involved. During their trip Camilla and Charles met craftspeople and builders involved in the project and unveiled a portrait. They also looked around the State Dining Room and a stateroom called the Red Room as well as the Throne Room. The duchess visited a new learning centre in the castle's stable yard. Charles and Camilla have visited Northern Ireland several times in the past, focusing on issues including reconciliation, heritage and indigenous business.
