Relax and enjoy the satisfying sounds of the workshop as I build a custom 4-pocket minimalist wallet. This "No Talking" ASMR video focuses purely on the craft, from unrolling the raw hide to the final polished edge. The Design & Materials: For this build, I went with a bold color combination using premium Vegetable Tanned Pueblo Leather from the Badalassi Carlo tannery. The exterior is a rich Olive, while the interior features a vibrant Yellow. To tie it all together and make the details pop, I used a contrasting Blue 0.45mm waxed thread for the saddle stitch. The Build Process: Precision Cutting: The project begins by unrolling the Olive hide and cutting the patterns using a Since Leather Knife. Pocket Details: To make accessing cards easier and add a decorative touch, I used a 3/4" English Point Punch (driven by a CS Osborne Rawhide Mallet) to create clean cutouts on the interior pockets. Keeping it Slim: A 4-pocket wallet can easily become too thick. To prevent this, I used a Since Leather Skiver to thin down the edges of each pocket piece, ensuring the final profile remains sleek and comfortable for everyday carry. Finishing Touches: I added decorative lines with a Since Leather Edge Creaser before punching the stitching holes with a Wuta 4mm Punch. The edges were leveled with a medium-grit sanding stick, burnished with Tokonole, and polished to a smooth finish with a non-woven cotton cloth.
