30 Inch Pike Underwater Stalk/Strike

I've filmed a few underwater shots of pike in my time and this one's pretty typical. Bigger pike tend to check out a bait multiple times, nibble at it, taste the water around it, and leave to come back after a few minutes. All of this footage was taken around sunset and compressed down from 45 min. You can tell this is the same pike by the white spot on it's head, and it's been caught recently before which you can tell by the tuft of white around the right corner of it's jaw. Very finicky fish and clearly thought twice about biting the bait but eventually gave in as darkness set in and it felt safer. Latter half of the footage is edited to increase brightness as the sun was setting. After landing, there was a quick measure, photo, and release of the fish to spawn and make more 30 inchers. 0:00 - First sighting of the 30 incher 1:08 - Second sighting 4:02 - Third sighting 4:31 - Mudminnow manages to swim hard enough to set up jaw jacker and swim away 4:43 - Reset the jawjacker with a creek chub 4:55 - Fourth sighting 8:01 - Fifth sighting 8:37 - Sixth sighting 9:57 - Seventh sighting 10:45 - Eighth sighting and eventual hook up.
