When he was 8 years old, Christopher Formaker's mom noticed unusual swelling in his leg. The next day, his brought him to Kaiser Permanente where right away, doctors began ordering tests and confirmed that Christopher had osteosarcoma in his leg bone, a form of cancer that can be resistant to radiation therapy.
