Get ready to hear about a recent encounter Tanner had at a store (we'll keep it anonymous). They were selling eighths of THC-A flower, claiming it's pretty much just like your regular cannabis. You can bet this became a hot topic after legalization. But guess what? THC-A flower has actually been available for years, thanks to a little loophole that allowed selling pure flower. On episode of 017 of the Northern Lights Podcast we dive into the argument people make to defend its legality, so we can discuss why they're mistaken later on. Some folks argue that the definition of cannabis is solely based on THC. So, even if the THC-A percentage is way above the 0.3% limit, they claim it's legal flower because federal law seems to be super strict when it comes to that particular form of THC. However, if you ask knowledgeable folks in Minnesota, they'll tell you that we follow a total THC regulation here. That means THC-A flower can't be sold as an edible product. Only the raw flower form is fair game. Stay tuned to learn more about this fascinating topic! Like and subscribe to the Minnesota Cannabis College YouTube channel!
