Living the Holy Life God Desires in This Age Requires Faith If we break God’s promises and turn away from holiness and godliness, we become subject to judgement. Behind God’s judgement on the world—in the time of Noah, in Sodom and Gomorrah, and in this last age—lies a common thread: people abandoned God and became rebellious, wicked, and adulterous. The Passover, God’s Command, Is the Promise of Protection and Salvation Today, like Noah, we must have firm faith in things not yet seen. Believing the prophecy of the Bible that God will judge the wicked world with fire, the Church of God preaches the new covenant Passover, which contains God’s promise to save the world from disasters. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 2 Peter 3:6–7 “[I]t is the LORD’s Passover. . . .
