I was joined by a team of professional historians and anthropology professors who helped break down the early beginnings of tabby construction, who once lived on and around this property, and why sites like this matter in the ongoing fight for preservation. During our walk-through, we discuss the unique materials and methods that made tabby such a staple in the coastal South, the preservation techniques being used today, and the future hopes for protecting the Barnwell Tabby for generations to come.
