The drive was scenic, shifting from busy streets to coconut palms, and by evening, we were on the beach, letting the ocean set the tone for our journey. ✅Day 2: Bentota & Galle The day began with a peaceful river safari at Bentota, gliding through mangroves and spotting birds. Later, we explored Galle Fort with its cobbled streets, lighthouse, and colonial charm, and as the sun set, we headed back to Mirissa for dinner by the shore. ✅Day 3: Mirissa to Ella It was time to leave the beaches and head for the hills. On the way, we stopped at the roaring Ravana Falls, a mix of legend and beauty, and by evening we reached Ella, explored its lively streets, and settled into mountain life. ✅Day 4: Exploring Ella We started the morning at the famous Nine Arches Bridge, surrounded by lush tea gardens, and watching a train cross felt like stepping into a postcard. Later, we relaxed at Ravana Pool Club, swimming, enjoying drinks, and soaking in views of the hills. ✅Day 5: Ella to Kandy via Nuwara Eliya A scenic train ride took us past endless hills and tea plantations. We stopped at Seetha Amman Temple and spent time by Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya, before continuing on and reaching Kandy by evening, a city filled with history and charm. ✅Day 6: Kandy to Sigiriya via Dambulla On the way to Sigiriya, we visited the ancient Dambulla Cave Temple, where colorful murals and Buddha statues told stories centuries old. By afternoon, we checked into our hotel surrounded by nature and rested for the big climb ahead. ✅Day 7: Sigiriya Rock & Pinnawala We began the morning climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a true wonder with breathtaking views at the top. After the descent, we visited Pinnawala to watch elephants bathing and playing by the river, before driving back to Colombo for our final night in Sri Lanka. ✅Day 8: Departure from Colombo Our last morning was slow, with breakfast and final conversations before we packed up, checked out, and made our way to the airport.
