Green Frame: Our Progress and What Comes Next The Green Frame coalition—launched at last year’s Toronto SPF and which includes CBC/Radio-Canada, Telefilm, the Canada Media Fund, the National Film Board, the Bell Fund, the Independent Production Fund, the Shaw Rocket Fund, the Indigenous Screen Office, the Black Screen Office, Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC Creators and the Broadcasting Accessibility Fund—is actively taking steps to unite the Canadian film, television, and digital content industries to harmonize and advance sustainability initiatives. At this panel, we’ll roll out The 2025 Green Frame Progress Report (which will be published on the day of the panel - Nov 24th) to examine both individual and collective achievements to date: what actions have we taken towards which goals and where are the gaps? Then, we’ll pivot toward what comes next—how to deepen impact, scale up sustainable practices and ensure equity in green transition. Speakers will be members of the coalition. Audience members will leave with a clearer picture on progress on where the industry is expanding and aligning incentives and policies, and the next steps to make the Canadian screen industry more sustainable.
