iPhone: How To Scan Using the iOS Files App Use your iPhone as a Scanner This tutorial will show you how to scan documents using the iOS Files App (the app icon with a blue folder). You can scan your Medical & Insurance Cards, Business Cards, Paper Documents, etc. Files App:View and manage your files from any iPhone or iPad. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206481 Tip: Good lighting & contrast between document & surface helps get a good quality scan. How To Scan Using Files App: 1. Tap to open Files App on iPhone 2. Click ‘Browse’ folder icon in the bottom right corner 3. Tap ‘iCloud Drive’ or other directory where you want to save Scans 4. Tap the three circles (…) in the top-right corner 5. Click Scan Documents 6. Hover Camera over document (zoom in & out to get in full view) 7. Look for blue box to cover document and wait for scan/picture to be taken 8. Take as many scans as needed (double-sided docs or multiple pages) 9. Tap the thumbnails in bottom-left to preview 10. Make Edits as needed 11. Click ‘Save’ to save to Files App 12.
