This line connects the Mediterranean coast with the nation’s capital through one of Spain’s busiest and most technically advanced rail corridors. he Madrid–Valencia high-speed line (LAV Madrid–Levante) was inaugurated in 2010 and forms part of Spain’s growing network of standard-gauge AVE routes. The line runs for 391 km, mostly designed for 350 km/h operation, although commercial services usually run up to 300 km/h. The trip typically takes 1 hour and 50 minutes, cutting travel time in half compared to the classic Iberian-gauge line. This Talgo AVRIL is operated by Renfe (Series 106) and is among the fastest and most efficient in Europe. The word AVRIL means "Alta Velocidad Rueda Independiente Ligero" in Spanish ("High-Speed Light Independent Wheel"). It's a unique and innovative wheel system that sets it apart from most conventional high-speed trains. Each wheel rotates on its own axle, allowing for smoother cornering, the wheels are mounted in steering arms that passively align them with the direction of the track (this reduces lateral forces on curves) and instead of traditional bogies (the wheel assemblies under each carriage), Talgo trains use Jacobs axles — shared wheelsets between two cars. That design (the independent wheel system and lack of bogies) allow for a lower floor height, making Talgo trains more accessible. And reducing overall weight improves energy efficiency too. 📍 Route: Valencia → Madrid Chamartin 🚄 Train: Talgo AVRIL (RENFE S106) 🛤️ Service: AVE (Alta Velocidad Española) ⚡ Max Speed: 330 km/h (205 mph) ⚡ Service speed: 300 km/h (186 mph) 🏭 Manufacturer: Talgo (Spain) 🇪🇸 Operator: RENFE (Spain) Notable feature: Low floor design for full accessibility and aerodynamically optimized lightweight construction 🎥 Experience high-speed rail the Spanish way—fast, elegant, and on time! 📍 Don't forget to suscribe! - High Speed Train Spain 🚅 AVE #AVRIL #Talgo106 #Renfe #SpainTrains #HighSpeedRail #MadridValencia #Talgo #RenfeAVE #AVLO #Railfan #TrainsEurope #SpanishRailways #RailTravel #ValenciaMadrid #TrenAltaVelocidad #SpainByTrain
