This is Moon Raker/ムーンレイカー for Arcade, and in this recently new Nichibutsu game I'm playing right now you control your fighter ship in the center of space. Aliens on the top starts laying Falling Bombs that will explode while UFOs at the bottom move like the Space Invaders shooting beams at you. The only way you can fight off these enemies is with the Wave Motion Beam up and Lower Beam down for points. You have a fuel meter that is rapidly draining the more time you take to hit the alien target or use the beam. After clearing the pattern, your Refueling Rocket will arrive and replenish the fuel to move on to the next: Pattern 1 - 12 Enemies Pattern 2 - 16 Enemies Pattern 3 - 20 Enemies Pattern 4 - 24 Enemies Pattern 5 & 6 - 28 Enemies Pattern 7 & 8 - 32 Enemies After Pattern 9, the number of enemies on screen will reset with the difficulty increasing fast attacks. If you run out of fuel or get damaged by enemies, your fighter will turn from blue to gray while losing momentum and exploding with a lost in the process which also means that you will be forced to fight the enemies again until you win. At 3000 points, an extra fighter will be awarded to you. The game only ends once all your fighters have been destroyed in the fight. This is without a doubt one of the best games to play. I thought this game was made on Galaxian hardware considering the starfield background and sounds but no it wasn't. Not only was this made on Modified Moon Base Hardware which explains the enemy's movement, but it was also made by Jorudan for Nichibutsu in April 1980. While I did find schematics for the game hoping it will work. Unfortunately, ever since the new version of MAME, the starfield and sound has not been implemented so where stuck with this currently. Despite not having no other version released in the next years, I consider this game apart of the Moon Series and a prequel of Moon Cresta because of the name but also how the Refueling Ship looks similar to the Third Ship in the docking stage. So, I recommend to everyone to try this out for the first time, even if it's easy or hard.
