Conquered Only 4 times in the history | Sunset Peak Summit | This is the 4th expedition to this peak ever since its inception. The first accent to this peak was done by Dr Arthur Neve, Dr Ernest Neve (Brothers),in 1901 . The second expedition to this peak was led by Mr. Mohamad Ashraf around in 1970's. The 3rd expedition to this peak was completed by Alpine Adventurers led by Adil Shah in July 2017. Since then no documented summits have been recorded. The Team of 12 members which was led by Danish Dhaar & Wajid Sami Under the Supervision of ace mountaineer Sir Manzoor Mir , left for this expedition on 5th July, Consist of Abid kharadi, Rameez Dar , Muzaffar, Amir Lateef , Sajid Khan , Burhan Nazir , Ajaz Ahmad and Owais Dar & Rizza Alee the guy who attempted to summit mount Everest this year was also the part of this expedition. He's youngest climber of our valley, he shared all his experience with the team members throughout the Journey. The peak is scaled through Valley's known tourist resort Yusmarg. Basecamp (CI) was set up at (Danizeb) 3590m and the Advance Base camp (C2) at (Kachgul) 3847m just below the Rumshi Glacier. From Summit , it offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains of Pirpanjal including Sheene myean and the next neighbor Tattakoti. Members were also able to locate Nanagaparbat, Mont Nun, Mt Kun, Mt Kolahoi, Mt Haramukh, Bramha Sakli peaks etc. The view towards the other side of the Pak border was eye catching.
