A beautiful short day hike near Sylva, NC in Nantahala National Forest. At just 7.5 miles, this hike was a great way to spend an early-Spring Sunday in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sections of this hike had some decently steep incline, but nothing that should deter anyone from attempting it in my opinion (just take it slow and go your own pace!). This hike is about 2.5-2.75 hrs from Charlotte, we left around 7 am and grabbed some quick breakfast on the way up. According to my AllTrails recording, we spent 4 hours hiking, and a total of 5 hours on the trail. The weather was ideal, and the trees had just started to bloom in the valleys. You can clearly see in the video where Winter stops and Spring was beginning. I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone who wants to have a mostly easy workout with some awesome views not far from Asheville or Charlotte. We brought plenty of snacks and had a small little picnic at the Pinnacle (all trash packed out, of course).
