Beautiful day, beautiful week in Whale Pass, Alaska. I went out with a friend the afternoon before to get some firewood for the house, nothing like wood heat to warm the bones on these cold nights. I start work on this hefty Western Red Cedar for rafter material. Nice tree but it has a surprise for me along the way. Part of me putting these videos out there is we are learning lessons together. I’m more green to milling than this tree was when it was fell and I’m bound to make some mistakes along the way.
