Karen Torosyan dreamed of becoming a jeweler. Instead, he became a craftsman of taste. Born in Soviet Georgia, he immigrated to Brussels at 18, working tirelessly to rise through the culinary ranks. At Bruneau, then Le Chalet de la Forêt, and besides David Martin, he developed a style where precision and excellence reign supreme. In 2010, he took the helm at Bozar, officially taking over in 2017 with his business partner and wife Nani-Lee Doehaerd. First known for his mastery of crusts – from Pâté en Croûte to his legendary Beef Wellington – he has since pushed his craft to new heights: precise, elegant, and incredibly executed creativity. In 2022, Bozar earned two Michelin stars, a testament to his relentless pursuit of perfection. Humble and exceptionally dedicated, Karen leads his team with respect and determination, inspiring through his talent and unwavering devotion to his craft.
