Hello & welcome along on this walk! If you're new here - my name is Sarah and each week I head out on a walk with my faithful companion Jack Spaniels, to explore somewhere in this beautiful country of Scotland and hopefully find something to paint back in my studio at home. Today we are climbing a hill - something we haven't done properly in a while! I love all walks - on the flat, through woods and along rivers. However, there is something very satisfying about climbing a hill, however small, that gives you a sense of achievement and really gets the blood pumping. We are staying quite local and climbing Bishop Hill, known locally as 'The Bishop'. It's a small hill, with amazing views across Fife and Perth & Kinross, including Loch Leven just below it. We pay a visist to the loch at the end of the walk, to give our naughty spaniel Jack a bath after he rolls in something smelly... Along the way, I spot lots of beautiful water droplets which look like gleaming gems. I have wanted to paint water droplets for a while now, so this was my perfect opportunity. I was also inspired by @TemiDansoArt's experiments with gouache, as she recently painted water droplets too. Thanks Temi for giving me the inspiration to try this! See the full painting process at the end of this video! If you enjoyed this video and you haven't already, please do hit subscribe and check out my other videos - including the three special Skye episodes, where we explore some incredible Scottish scenery. Join me again next week as we explore somewhere else in Scotland and look for painting inspiration...
