Hey folks! Chris TEA here, on today's self-taught journey to art, I'm visiting Nishi Oyama Station in Kagoshima, Japan! Nishi Oyama station is Japan's southernmost JR station. From Kagoshima City's main station, it is about an hour and forth minutes by train. The train ride is wonderful with views of the seaside and Sakurajima volcano! I went in January because it is Nanohana or rape blossom season! Perfect time to get a spectacular view of Mt. Kaimondake during the blossom season! What's also wonderful is that the view is right off the train station stop! If you're willing to trek around the station, there are many wonderful views of the location. I don't usually like to paint landscapes, but this is a good opportunity for me to learn and find art inspiration!
