We’re using a combination of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, through intravenous infusion to help them with this ordeal. The Restore Program is a benefit for several reasons. First being is that in addiction, as we may or may not know, the receptors in the brain are quite damaged, and ultimately, the body lacks the ability to produce their own neurotransmitters. So with the Restore Program we’re going to be intravenously infusing amino acids which are the precursors to those neurotransmitters that will then cross the blood brain barrier, come together, and heal the receptors, and pretty much kick-start your body’s ability to produce those neurotransmitters on their own. With addiction, the gut tends to get a little destroyed as well. Meaning the lining, the cells, the absorption, it gets a little out whack, so we want to be able to bypass the gut completely to ensure almost full absorption of those nutrients. With the Restore Program as well, we will be touching on certain areas of nutrition to heal the gut. We see this as a medical problem; it’s not a lack of moral fortitude or strength on the individual’s part. This is a problem that we deal with much in the same way we would deal with diabetes, high blood pressure, or even cancer. We look at this, the disease of addiction, as being a life-threatening illness and we treat it accordingly. There is no cure for addiction. It is there, it can be treated, it can be kept at bay, the symptoms can be kept under control; this is a chronic illness, like any other chronic illness.
