Today we are looking at some new gear of mine, the spot gen 3 satellite tracker. Its a great small bit of kit to give friends and family some peace of mind when out and about taking part in adventure sports. Being able to summon search and rescue if needed should ease most peoples minds. It uses the globalstar network and is reliable for most activities, some stuff like polar exploration wont get signal though. The live tracking feature is a nice addition so people can log in and check your roughly where you've said you'll be, also if your doing a charity event donors can see how well you are doing to! You can set up a few different custom messages to be sent depending on what button you press. The check in button will also send your location details to whoever you've set it to it can send to a phone or email (if email it send a google map link) .
