S1 – Ep 218 – Orania – A Beautiful Small Town on the Banks of the Orange River!

When we left Lückhoff, we knew we were heading for the small town of Orania. We found a beautiful gravel road on which to travel. We saw amazing scenes and wildlife on this road. Then we reached the bridge which crossed over the mighty Orange River. We couldn’t help ourselves, we had to stop on the bridge and witness this awe-inspiring view. It is truly a spectacular sight to behold, the green fields of the local farmers are virtually on the banks of this river. Then we entered Orania and the first impression was that of a well-oiled machine. The town was very neat and it was a real pleasure driving through the streets. The residents of this place were so friendly, everyone waved at us as they drove by. We also found quite a few places of interest to visit, like Monument Hill and the Koeksister Monument down by the swimming pool. I was happy to see that the village was expanding, there were many new houses being built.
